peach blackberry sangria

August is the best time for making fresh sangria! With the peaches and blackberries ripening at the same time, and last year's wine down to the "least favourite" bottles, we are ready.

In a glass or plastic jug, mix:

1 lime, sliced in rounds
2 peaches, sliced
1/2 cup fresh blackberries
1/2 cup sherry
1/4 cup white sugar
1 bottle blackberry wine

Cover. Let rest in the fridge at least a couple hours. (I think I always skip this step)

Fill your glasses with ice cubes. Pour the sangria over and if you like, add a little soda water or tonic (I usually skip this step too).

You're welcome.
